Clothes Mending Workshops at Home

With Autumn on it’s way it is a good time to go through your wardrobe. What clothes have you not worn for a while? Is it because they need some TLC? Maybe a button has fallen off, hem come down? Holes to be patched or darned. We are on hand from home to give you some mending motivation.

We are going to be joining Sew What! for their second stitch along series on Tuesday 29 September at 7:30pm in IG Live. We’ll be chatting about all things repair and sustainability and going through some classic repair techniques as we chat. If you want to get involved, make sure you’ve got a needle, thread and some fabric to play around with. We’ll be doing some darning so you might need an alternative darning mushroom and a woollen fabric to work with. Sign into Instagram and follow @woodfieldpavilion or @fastfashiontherapy – join at 7:30 on Monday evening and you will receive a notification that we are live.

Our Repair cafe offers 1:1 advice via video call. Book for a 30 minute session and we can get you started with your mend. Tickets are £9 including booking fee. £2.50 will be donated to charity (Refuge, Fashion Revolution and Trussell Trust). Email us to arrange a time and book your appointment.

Missing our regular Fast Fashion Therapy workshops at The Create Place? Join us for our twice monthly mending social via Zoom. Bring along some mending to do whilst chatting with the group. Share ideas or listen and sew. It isn’t a taught workshop but please do ask us and the group any clothes mending queries.
